Statistics: Russia’s wage arrears fall 14% in Nov to 1.628 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Jan 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wage arrears fell by 14.2% in December to 1.628 billion rubles as of January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Monday.

The wage arrears that emerged in 2020 amounted to 681.2 million rubles, the arrears that emerged in 2019 to 348.5 million rubles, and the arrears that emerged in 2018 or earlier stood at 598.6 million rubles.

The processing industry accounted for 40% of the debt, construction for 23%, mining for 15%, agriculture and hunting for 8%, and transport for 5%.
